Jonathan Laabs and His Legacy
In 1942 the Lutheran Education Association was founded. For many years, it was run by volunteers. But in 1997, the course of LEA changed. At that time, the board of directors voted to call Dr. Jonathan Laabs as its executive director. For nearly 3 decades, LEA was blessed by the work and ministry of Jon whose quiet, steady leadership has helped grow LEA into the resource and network it is today. He stewarded and strengthened an existing organization that has empowered countless educators in our Lutheran schools to share the Gospel message furthering God’s kingdom. Learn more about Jon in the video below.
For the One
LEA celebrates the legacy of Dr. Laabs and his impact on Lutheran education around the world. God has worked through Jon’s life and ministry, and many lives that have been shaped because of his faithful service. LEA encourages you to participate in this opportunity to honor Jon’s ministry and impact through a financial gift. Your generosity helps further the mission of LEA, to Link, Equip, and Affirm our Lutheran schools in sharing the Gospel message!
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace. — 1 Peter 4:10 (ESV)
