Awards
LEA recognizes educators at all levels in school and parish ministry, leadership, and service through 15 award categories.
Collaboration
LEA partners with various organizations and leaders to develop a more strategic approach to enhancing Lutheran education. Examples include the Alliance of LEA, ALSS, and LCMS School Ministry; partner gatherings, which include representations from Lutheran universities; and gatherings of district education executives through GOSPEL and CONFEDEX.
Conferences
LEA participates in local, regional, national, and international settings through speaking, collaborating, and co-sponsoring on-site and virtual events.
International
LEA, in collaboration with leaders and educators around the world, has played a role in support of Christian education in a variety of contexts. LEA has partnered in creating Lutheran education associations in South Africa, Ghana, and Central America and maintains a partnering role with schools and organizations on six continents. Every three years, LEA brings together international educators at the global symposium, held in conjunction with the LEA convocation.
Leadership
LEA staff members participate at leadership levels through service on boards, committees, and task forces within the Church and in various education-related organizations.
Publications
LEA produces emails, monographs, Shaping the Future magazine, podcasts, and videos that support educators in their ministries and inform others about Lutheran education.
